The arrival of hybrid technology in the Indian automobile market marks an important first for the new Maruti Grand Vitara. In fact, this premium SUV features two hybrid systems: Smart Hybrid and Strong Hybrid. Given the price tag starting at ₹ 11.42 lakh, the SUV offers an outstanding mileage of 28 Kmpl with the respected Toyota hybrid technology.
New Maruti Grand Vitara Mileage
The Grand Vitara is available with two hybrid technologies. The Smart Hybrid is a mild hybrid with a 1.5L K15C petrol engine that produces 103 PS of power. The Strong Hybrid has an electric motor coupled with a 1.5L M15D petrol engine that develops a combined power of 115.56 PS. The Strong Hybrid variant uses an e-CVT transmission that is single-speed in construction and can provide an infinite number of gear ratios. The ARAI mileage claimed for the Vitara Hybrid is 27.97 kmpl – making it the most fuel-efficient car in India, whereas on-road testing gave 25.45 kmpl mileage in city conditions and 21.97 kmpl on highways.

New Maruti Grand Vitara Features
The Grand Vitara has a digital instrument cluster with a 17.78 cm display. It features a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, and head-up display. The list also includes a wireless charging dock, ambient lighting, auto purify with PM2.5 display. Six airbags (driver, front passenger, side, and curtain) are offered as standard features in all variants. Some of the dynamic safety features included are ESP, Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, front and rear disc brakes, and ISOFIX child seat restraints. The 360-degree camera, rear parking camera, and TPMS are included in the high-end variants.
New Maruti Grand Vitara Price
The Gran Vitara is offered in five variants: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. The base Sigma starts from ₹ 11.42 lakh, while the top-of-the-line Alpha Plus Opt Hybrid CVT DT goes up to ₹ 20.68 lakh. CNG variants are available from ₹ 13.48 lakh to ₹ 15.62 lakh, whereas Strong Hybrids are from ₹ 16.99 lakh to ₹ 20.68 lakh.
