Honda Shine 100 Bike Launched With 60Kmpl Mileage, know Specification

Honda Shine 100: Honda entered the Indian bike market with its Shine 100 Flex-Fuel. The bike is designed to run on petrol as well as E20 fuel (with 20% ethanol). At the time, such ethanol fuel can be produced at home in urban or rural areas, thus providing the consumer an environmentally friendly and cheaper ride.

The new air-cooled single-cylinder engine has in it an expansion of 99.7cc capable of producing 7.6hp of power and 8.05Nmof torque. It comes with a 4-speed gearbox. It is OBD-2-compliant and delivers on a smooth petrol-like experience in every aspect. Some other significant features include its capacity to run on E20 ethanol mixed petrol.

The government in India is promoting ethanol blending, and this decision by Honda will give another fuel option available for ordinary users in cities and villages. This bike is E20-compatible; that is, its fuel system and engine have also been optimized to work with ethanol.

This motorcycle comprises combined braking system (CBS) with drum brakes on both wheels and a sidestand inhibitor and self-start and kick-start options. Headlamp is a halogen-type, and the motorcycle also entails stoppage safety technology. Mileage is claimed to be up to 55km per liter, and the same figure remains unaltered for both petrol and E20 fuels. Aside from the OBD‑2 system and fuel pump, aided by an auto-choke, the bike starts without hassles anywhere, whether in streets or rural areas.

Its introductory starting ex-showroom price stood at ₹64,900 (Mumbai). It is now on booking throughout India, with deliveries on. Additionally, Honda is offering a 3-year warranty (extendable) on this motorcycle, which is being much appreciated.
