  • Fix the issue: If it concerns bank details or ID mismatching, update your details immediately on the portal.
  • Submit the reapplication: This is done via the SRD site using the tab “Reapply for SASSA SRD R370 Grant”. Enter your ID and phone number, re-check, and confirm your details.
  • Confirmation: You will get a message either by SMS or through the portal, confirming that your reapplication is under process.
  • Wait for decision: A reapplication is generally processed within 5 to 10 working days by SASSA. If you are accepted, your grant will be paid with the 25–30 August payout.

Should your application be declined a second time, however, do not lose hope. Within 30 days, appeals may be issued requesting assistance from ITSAA (Independent Tribunal for Social Assistance Appeals).
