What Does The \$445 Monthly Family Income Support Benefit Stand For?
The \$445 monthly payments belong to a program similar to the Canada Child Benefit (CCB) or some other provincial program for assisting families with children under the age of eighteen. The payment’s value varies for each family, depending on income and number of children. However, at the highest payout it will give \$445 per child monthly to all families who qualify.
The payment is spread monthly and is non-taxable, which may be used for:
- Daycare centers
- Food and nutrition
- School supplies
- Clothing and health care
Eligibility Criteria
Monthly family benefits of \$445 are paid to those who can prove the following:
- You must live with a child under 18
- Must be principally in charge of caring for and raising the child
- Must be considered a Canadian resident for tax purposes.
- You (and your spouse or common law, if applicable) must file income tax returns.
- The adjusted family net income registered on the family’s record must be less than the eligibility level, which varies from year to year.
Based on your income tax return filed in the preceding year, the amount of benefit paid may be less: low-income families are granted full benefit whereas mid-to-high income families receive a reduced amount.
Payment Process and Schedule
Payments will be made monthly by each month on the 20th. Effective in July of 2025, the earlier payment will be adjusted to pay the full amount of \$445, with further payments being in line with the agreed payment.
